;)Hi John, don't be downcast !! I only got into this computer lark for the Vic association, and have spent a lot of time completely lost. Had just got this Email thing nailed down when my well meaning family bought me a digital camera to use with this machine. Couldn't make any sense at all of the instruction book, which incidentally starts off by telling me to run some disc, anyway I eventually got it figured out how to take snaps. Yesterday I was the only pupil at a local council run "Digital camera/computer" course. Two hours it lasted, and I came out a bit undecided as to what my name was, and the young man who did the course, (I suspect he may be off work for a bit), seemed a bit bemused at the depth of my ignorance.
They speak in tongues I do not know, and use measurements that I have never heard of "Giga bites " or something. Have to admit I didn't learn much, and I missed my lunch !!

I think its an age thing !!  ???       Take Care Stoker Stan

Problems with IT ???

Don’t worry Stan me old mate
you are not alone in having problems with IT

I can still remember when
•   Memory - was something you lost with age
•   An application - was for employment
•   A program - was a TV show
•   A cursor - used profanity
•   A keyboard - was a piano
•   A web - was a spider's home
•   A virus - was the flu
•   A CD - was a bank account
•   A hard drive - was a long trip on the road
•   A mouse pad - was where a mouse lived
•   A "Chip" was a piece of wood or a fried potato.
•   “Hardwear" meant nuts and bolts
•   "Softwear" wasn't a word.
•
                                And finally

if you had a 3½ inch floppy you just hoped nobody ever
found out!
