Morning all.
Just to give you a heads up to inform you that HMS Ganges and HMS St Vincent old boys will be once again taking part in the above. This is the 3rd year that we have had the honour of representing our respective training establishments and been given the opportunity to pay homage to all those that fell in the defence of our country.
So far we have been unfortunate in not being "captured" on the television coverage on the BBC. ( one of our lads reckons that the producer was probably an old Ganges or Vincent boy who couldn't make the grade and as a chip on his shoulder and cuts to another picture everytime we march past)
Well lets hope it's 3rd time lucky this time so for all you out there that started at either establishment keep your eyes peeled for any old faces.
I only wish I could rely on one of my family to successfully record the event on video as they have never managed to get it right yet.
Is there anyone from the Vic association attending? If so let me know who you are and which group you are with and i will seek you out on the day.
Regards
Gary

Well done Gary hope you have a good day.

Re tv lack of coverage, from what I remember of you lot from Vincent it could have something to do with your marching mate, but try to get a bit of square time in before the event this year,it would help if you could get a few more stokers in there ! we were always good at marching !!!

Thanks for the response chaps. Oh and by the way Stan. Stokers Marching??? If I remember rightly most of your crowd had trouble walking. They could never get one foot in front of the other as the concept of "left, right, left" was to complicated!!!!
Cheers

Got to admitt Gary I enjoyed the movie ! didn't get too far round Vincent, although I did go in on the occasion I got my second badge. My D.O. at the time was the four ring medical officer who had to come with me to Commanders to get it! Same bloke made me give up smoking, funny what memories come back !

But just to set the record straight! stokers never realey need to walk very far! we are always in the right place at the right time ! you wouldn't have noticed, we moved with the skill of the proverbial racing snake !
