Photographer Herbert W Page
« on: June 22, 2012, 07:36:58 AM »
Hello Vics

If I may intrude! Ex Hermes (with Vic in 1967 off Aden) and the old Ark. Now the Historian for the RN Photographers Association.

I attended the 30 years Falklands Memorial service at Yeovilton recently and in the Churchyard are interned the Ashes of Herbert W Page. The tablet says he was in Vic from 1941 to 1945. He died in 1997.

I don't have him my records and wondered if there was anyone around who had any information on him

Hi Jandor, thanks for dropping in on the site. Cannot tell you much about Herbert, other than he was indeed a Photographer, and he was still a member of the Victorious (1941-1945) association in September 1994. His last address was New Eltham, in London.
Not a lot of help I am afraid although if you email me directly, I could furnish you with his full last known postal address.

Take Care Stoker Stan  Vic association. email  stanley675@btinternet.com

Hi Jan,

Many thanks for the offer. I bought all the photographs I could when I was on the Victorious, from the Phot Dept, unfortunately I left the albumn on a milk train Waterloo to Portsmouth, when I was on the Tiger.

My email.
